The Lunar Chronicles Booktag

Since I’m a huge fan of The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and since these kind of booktags are fun, I’m doing this tag today. I already did the ACOTAr tag a long while back, so It’s time to put some Lunar love in a tag as well. This tag has been taken from Book Addicts Guide (click on the link for their answers) and has been out there since 2015. Are you curious which books I match with the characters from The Lunar Chronicles? Click on the button to read more!

CINDER | The cyborg; a book that’s often misunderstood or underappreciated

Wow, the first question is already a tough one. When looking into my Goodreads it has been a close call between Zac & Mia by A. J. Betts and The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead. I only went back till exactly one year ago. The Glittering Court was a tough read (especially in English), but I enjoyed it. However, the average rating is 3.49 stars. Zac & Mia was a book I really loved and just got an average rating of 3.64 stars. Ouch.

KAI | The prince; a book about royals/royalty

The most cliché thing to say right here and now is The Selection by Kiera Cass, but it’s the first book coming to mind. And yes, I know there are more royalty themed books.

ADRI | The evil stepmother; a book with a horrible/cringe-worthy parent

Not evil, but annoying. Both Valerie’s parents in Hate List by Jennifer Brown. And if I have to believe the reviews, the mother of the main character in A Thousand Perfect Notes by C. G. Drews is horrible for putting SO much pressure on her son.

IKO | The spunky sidekick; a book with your favorite happy-go-lucky character

Wow, this tag is harder than I expected. However, I must go for Kenji from the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi then.

SCARLET | The rescuer; a book with a character on a mission

Celaena/Aelin from the Throne Of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. She wants to fight for her right to become the queen of Terasen and to restore her beloved country.

WOLF | The fighter; a book with a brutal fight (with words or fists)

Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. What Desi said to Aza is really hurtful. Oh and Anna and Amanda’s fist fight in Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins was a brutal one as well.

LEVANA | The villain; a book with the absolute worst villain

Voldemort is villain number one but oh so cliché. Amarantha is one I’ve mentioned several times as well, so I’m gonna go with The Grisha‘s Darkling. He is SO sneaky.

THORNE | The rascal; a book with the biggest schmoozer

Did someone ever mention Cassian from the ACOTAR series? Because he likes to tease the rest of the inner circle quite a lot.

CRESS | The hacker; a book about technology, or sci-fi

I’m going to mention 2 books here and I DNF’ed them both. The 100 by Kass Morgan and A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray. These books came to mind first, whilst there probably are many more books which fit the question.

ERLAND | The doctor; a book with an illness or revolving around medical issues

I could go for The Fault In Our Stars by John Green here, but no. I will choose The Memory Book by Lara Avery. This book is not mentioned a lot in tags and is actually not one of my favorites, but Sammie suffers from a form of dementia while she’s having so many plans for her future, such as going to uni.

WINTER | The unsound mind; a book with the craziest character you’ve ever read

Oh that’s probably Forgive Me, leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick. Don’t really know what to think about it so far. Will I continue or DNF this altogether?

JACIN | The soldier; a book with a military theme

I guess both An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir and the entire Summoner series by Taran Matharu somehow meet the description and therefore I will not choose between these two.

Everyone is free to take this tag and do it, but Laura wanted to do this tag as well and therefore I tag her.
