Happy blogiversary to me! I have been blogging for 3 years today and no, I’m dnot doing anything special for it. Why? The answer to that question is very simple, I’m kind of slumping and furthermore, I had no inspiration to come up with something. Well, coincidentially it’s the final day of the month, which means a bookhaul. This month was quite okay in terms of adding books, so without furhter ado, let’s take a look.
The first book I got from Bookchoice is The fifth to die by J. D. Barker. I still have to read the first book, but oh well. Let’s see how this goes and maybe I will unhaul this if I don’t like the first book.
Verloren vrouw by Charles den Tex is a Dutch thriller and I heard good things about it. But, we all know about my love/hate relationship with thrillers, so again, we will see whether I like it or not.
Uhm yes, I still need to read P.S. I love you by Cecelia Ahern, but the sequel, The P.S. I love you club was available in Bookchoice. So, naturally I got it.
I already bought The true poets of the sea by Julia Drake back in December, but there were troubles with my download link. It turned out that the book wasn’t available yet et cetera et cetera. However, a month later I finally got it and I’m really curious for this one.
Dirty little secrets by Jo Spain was marketed for fans of Liane Moriarty‘s Big little lies. I really liked this book, so my expectations for this one were high too. To be continued in tomorrow’s post, because I read it already.
Last summer, I read Mijn beeld van jou by Susan van Eyck, right before this sequel, Stuk van jou, got released. I didn’t get this book until this month as it was featured in Bookchoice. It’s my current read.
I have been curious foor This mortal coil by Emily Suvada for a while now and In January, I finally bought it. I’m planning on reading this book very soon.
American dirt by Jeanine Cummins is labeled as a “problematic book”, but that doesn’t stop me from willing to read it. I definitely will read it and find out for myself if I find it problematic or not.
I started Truly devious by Maureen Johnson as an audiobook back in 2018, but I didn’t like the narration at all. Thankfully there are Kindle deals, so I could get this book quite cheap.
The reviews of Scavenge the stars by Tara Sim are really good, which made me curious for this book as well. So, naturally I bought it.
I cleared out my Audible library, which means that I returned some books I din’t want to read anymore or which I DNF’ed. This, and 2 monthly credits, made it possible for me to get myself some new audiobooks. First, Tarnished are the stars by Rosiee Thor. This book is not available as ebook, so I actually have no other choice. This is for fans of The lunar chronicles, one of my favorite series, so the stakes are really high.
Earlier this month, I read Scythe by Neal Shusterman. As I rated this book 5 stars, I had to get the rest of the series. To start with Thunderhead.
And of course, The toll by Neal Shusterman.
I have been hearing about The city of brass by S. A. Chakraborty for a long time now, but now was finally the time to buy this book. I’m planning on reading it soon though.
The final book of this bookhaul is Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff. I finally completed this trilogy and I will read Godsgrave soon.
This is my first bookhaul of 2020. How is yours?
