Flashback Friday: what did I actually read? #7

February 7, 2020     Laurie     Flashback Friday, Tags & memes

On Kwante‘s I found the series “shopaholic exposed”. She took it over from Candyce & Isabelle, who called this series “looking back on our bookhauls”. The goals of this meme is to look back on your old bookhauls and to check whether you actually have read the books you added back then or not. As I often have huge hauls it’s time to get myself exposed and therefore I’m taking over this series.

Today I will take a look into my bookhaul from October 2017.

Turtles all the way down by John Green

I read this book quite soon, when the hype was still there. I guess I read it two weeks after hauling it.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green

No, I didn’t read this book. They republished all books by John Green back in 2017 as ebook, after he changed publishers here in the Netherlands. I was looking for this book for a while, but unfortunately, I lost interest and removed it from my TBR.

Schemerzone by Hilde Vandermeeren

A Dutch thriller by a Flemish author. Yes, I read it, but it wasn’t the best of books.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Cell 7 by Kerry Drewery

I have read this book as well, but it couldn’t convince me to continue this series. The different POVs gave this book the little extra push that it desperately needed.

Dagboek van een getuige by Astrid Holleeder

A dutch non-fiction book which I read soon after I hauled it. It was a quick read.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
  • Number of books hauled: 5
  • Number of books read: 4
  • Number of books unread: 1

I did quite well with this bookhaul, nice to see!

  1. Oh, I didn’t like Will Grayson! It was boring and there was this particular scene that was also in Paper Towns. The only difference were the characters…
