Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is created by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and it’s purpose is that you make a top 10 list on Tuesday out of the topics she provides. However, you don’t have to stick exactly to 10, you may also put more or less books/things on the lists. Moreover, you are allowed to give an “unique” spin to the topic whenever that works better for you. Well, let’s move on to this week’s list!

Disclaimer: my TBR can be joined by more books between writing this on monday afternoon and publishing this on Tuesday morning. This post is based on my Goodreads TBR and the newest addition is the first on this list and so on. Click on the links in the headings to go straight to the book’s page on Goodreads.

The Wicked King by Holly Black

I reread The Cruel Prince and actually I like it now. Therefore, I have to read its sequel!

The Lost Sisters by Holly Black

Well, this is the companion novella to The Cruel Prince, so I should read it right?

The Love & Lies Of Rukshana Ali by Sabina Khan

Actually I’m a little bit on the fence with this one since contemporary don’t sit well with me lately. I will keep my eyes open for any reviews and then decide what to do with it.

Black Leopard, Red Wolf (The Dark Star Trilogy #1) by Marlon James

I honestly can’t tell you where I found out about this book in the first place, but the synopsis sounds intriguing, so why not.

The Priory Of The Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

Book twitter has been raging about this book for a while and even though I haven’t read any of Samantha Shannon her other books yet, I would like to give this one a try.

The Diabolic (The Diabolic #1) by S. J. Kincaid

Well, I am not sure whether this one will stay or eventually go because of all the mixed reviews. Well, let’s see.

Her Royal Highness (Royals #2) by Rachel Hawkins

Last year I read Royals when it came out here in The Netherlands and was not a huge fan. However, I liked it because it was a nice read for the summer. This book made me curious because we get to know Princess Flora here and that’s a royal we haven’t properly met yet.

A Pound Of Flesh (A Pound Of Flesh #1) by Sophie Jackson

This is a little bit of cheating, because I was convinced that I already added this one to my TBR. But I did not, obviously.

Origins (Summoner #0.5) by Taran Matharu

Again, I was convinced that I already had this one on my Goodreads TBR.

The Bone Season (The bone season #1) by Samantha Shannon

Here she is again, Samantha Shannon. However, this series has not been fully translated to Dutch, so I’m not sure whether to read this book in Dutch or English.

So far, my 10 most recent additions to my TBR. To which review are you really looking forward?

  1. I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Priory of the Orange Tree! I too have been watching people tweet about it and it’s made me curious but I’m not sure if it’s something I’ll want to read. Great list!

  2. I’ve had The Diabolic on my list for a while. I got the book at half the price and it’s sitting on my bookshelf.
Great list! Hope you enjoy all of these.

  3. I really liked The Diabolic and The Cruel Prince – just had my library hold on The Wicked King come through, and I’m so excited to finally read it! I also liked Rachel Hawkins’s Hex Hall and Rebel Belle, though I haven’t read Royals. Hm, maybe I should give it a try? (And my TBR weeps, because we’ll never see the end of it ?)
