Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is created by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and it’s purpose is that you make a top 10 list on Tuesday out of the topics she provides. However, you don’t have to stick exactly to 10, you may also put more or less books/things on the lists. Moreover, you are allowed to give an “unique” spin to the topic whenever that works better for you. Well, let’s move on to this week’s list!

Today’s theme is: Books I Meant to Read In 2018 but Didn’t Get To.

By clicking on the link in the title, you will enter the book’s page on Goodreads and add the books to your shelves immediately.

City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I know I know, I’m so late to this party! Actually, this book is my current read.

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

This book has been on my TBR ever since its release, so I definitely should read it this year.

The Outcast by Taran Matharu

I read the main books of the series, but not its prequel. I meant to do that in 2018 obviously, but couldn’t.

A Conjuring Of Light by V. E. Schwab

Again, I read the other books in the series.

The Tatooist Of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

I instantly bought this book upon release, but of course I haven’t read it yet. Oops.

Beyond A Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake

Actually I meant to haul this book in 2018, but I didn’t. Therefore, I haven’t read it yet.

Vicious by V. E. Schwab

Another Schwab book I was meant to be reading in 2018, but obviously did not. Well, this one will definitely be read in 2019.

The Hazelwood by Melissa Albert

This book has been on my TBR on and off. I heard so many mixed reviews that I absolutely had no clue whether to try this book or not. However, I will try it this year.

A Very Large Expanse Of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

A new book by Tahereh Mafi? Yes, count me in! However, I have not read her newest novel yet, despite its great reviews. I will do it shortly eventually, because we will read this book with a book club.

And I Darken by Kiersten White

I have the book now, so there are NO excuses left for me to not read it.

What books were you intending to read in 2018 but didn’t get to?

  1. There are so many books on this list that I also didn’t get to! I even started TO KILL A KINGDOM, but didn’t get to finish it. So, will have to restart that one. What one are you most looking forward to out of the list you provided?

If I will get to the book, I’ll get back to you and check in for an eventual buddy read? Maybe it’s just that extra push you need 🙂

  2. I have read To Kill A Kingdom and really enjoyed it! It was almost a relief to read a YA fantasy book that wasn’t par of a series. I love series don’t get me wrong but sometimes there are just too many book and pages! 😉

  3. omg YES I loved Vicious & The Hazel Wood! Tattooist of Auschwitz and Very Large Expanse of Sea are on my TBR too, though at this point I’ve given up on trying to plan what I’m reading next, or even what year I plan to read something – it’ll happen shortly after release date, before release date (for ARCs), years later, or possibly just never ?

Unfortunately you can’t unhaul ebooks, so it will be a waste of money if I am not ending up reading them ?

  4. You have a great list here! Curious to see what you’ll think of City of Bones and to Kill a Kingdom! The hazelwood is one of those books, I’m still deciding on wether or not I Actually still want to read it. The synopsis sounds good, but I’ve heard such negative things on this book. But I always like to make up my own mind so I’ll probably still read it someday haha. I’m not always one to follow the hype train so maybe I’ll end up loving it haha.

  5. How are you liking City Of Bones? I hope you’re going to write English review about it since I’m interested how someone who hasn’t read it before thinks.

To Kill A Kingdom is also in my list but it’s not really high up there. And I Darken isn’t in my list but her Slayer book is (:

Slayer is too! Actually I was planning on writing Dutch reviews for this series because Queen of air and darkness will be released here in spring. Spoiler: city of Bones was a five star read.
