The Greatest Showman Booktag

It’s Saturday evening, right after dinner time. I just finished watching The Greatest Showman for the third time a very little while ago. In fact, I saw this tag over at Jemma @Fantastic Books her blog a while back. I instantly knew that I wanted to do this tag. I got the images – with permission – from Rachel @Rachelrexds, the original creator of this fantastic tag. So, let’s do this!

The Greatest Showman – A book with a colourful and lively setting

I could go with the entire ACOTAR series of course, because of Velaris. But, I will go for another book instead and wow this is hard. I don’t read many books with many colours. But let’s go for the naturalists part of Fenbirn in Three Dark Crowns. Look what the people can do their with their gift. So many animals and flowers and such.

“Where it’s covered in all the colored lights
Where the runaways are running the night
Impossible comes true, intoxicating you
Oh, this is the greatest show”

A Million Dreams – A book with a character that loves to dream

I have to agree with Jemma and say Strange The Dreamer. Although I haven’t read the book yet. However, the title reveals as much, so there is no better choice for this question.

“Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake”

Come Alive – A character who bravely overcame his / her fears

I think I have to say Juliette Ferrars from the Shatter Me series. She hated her gift at first, was even scared of it. She learnt how to embrace and use this gift and therefore overcame her fears for herself and her abilities.

“Come alive, come alive
Go and ride your light
Let it burn so bright”

The Other Side – Your favourite bromance 🙂

Oh right, I guess Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel. This needs no further explanation right?

“Don’t you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play
‘Cause I got what you need
So come with me and take the ride”

Never Enough – A book with an ending that left you wanting more!

Oh well, this is a very close call between A Court Of Wings And Ruin and Stars Above. The last one because The Lunar Chronicles universe ends with that novellas collection. I know I know, there are two graphic novels out there, but I can’t read those since they mainly consist of pictures. And ACOWAR gave me a huge book hangover.

“Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it’ll
Never be enough”

This Is Me –  A character who’s not afraid to be different

Although I don’t really like Leah On The Offbeat, I have to take Leah Burke for this question. She is bisexual and fat and she doesn’t give a sh*t about that.

“When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me”

Rewrite The Stars – A book featuring star-crossed lovers

OK I have literally NO idea what this starcrossed lovers thing means, but I will go for both Cress and Thorne and Wolf and Scarlet from The Lunar Chronicles. Because Earthans and Lunars. That’s it I guess.

What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You’d be the one I was meant to find”

I know there are two more songs in the movie (Tightrope and From Now On), but these are not included in the tag. I will tag just a few people, because I know they like this movie as well. If you want to do this tag yourself, consider yourselves tagged! However, a pinback would be lovely 🙂

I will tag anyway:
Lisa. I believe she saw this movie around 5 times in theatres 🙂
Kwante.
Annabel.
