(EN) The end of the year book tag

This is a quick little tag I saw over at Hamad @ The Book Prescription his blog. He left it open for anyone to do, so here I am!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Not at this point. I start books to either finish or DNF them, so none has been put aside for a later time. However, I have some soft DNF’s, but I think I won’t be in the mood this year to pick them up again.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Not really. However, I tend to read more new adult and romance during spring and summer, but I will still read fantasy. However, I put some fantasy books aside this summer but I probably won’t pick them back up.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Yes. Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan, The queen of nothing by Holly Black, The skyweaver by Kristen Ciccarelli (Dutch edition) and the Dutch edition of Marissa Meyer‘s Supernova. However, I don’t know whether this book will be released in 2019 or 2020 and they definitely will change the title as Supernova by Kass Morgan is published by the same publisher.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (group read in December), Spark by Alice Broadway and Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

The Queen Of Nothing by Holly Black. I think Jude and Cardan have some tricks upon their sleeves to shock us even more. However, I have to agree with Hamad that most anticipated books of this year were utterly disappointing.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?

No, except for finishing the books in the Shadowhunter universe by Cassandra Clare.

Just like Hammad, I’m leaving this tag open for everyone to do so. Have fun!

  1. Clockwork Prince is a good book (I ugly cried so much at the end of Clockwork Princess!). I’ll probably read those again soon, but I probably won’t finish until next year (NaNoWriMo). I’m waiting for The Queen of Nothing too. Great Tag!

  2. I absolutely cannot wait for the Queen of Nothing! I’m hoping it gives all my other favorites from this year, a run for their money. Also I completely forgot Supernova is coming out at the end of this year, I’m definitely interested to see how it will end.
