(EN) The Bookish A-Z Survey Book Tag

Hi guys, I haven’t done a tag in a couple of weeks and this tag has been sitting in my drafts since forever, so here is me finally doing this. It’s a tag I haven’t been tagged in, but saw it over on Lauren from Northern Plunder and liked it.

A | author you’ve read the most books from

I think that might be from the Dutch author Carry Slee. She has written a loooooooot of children’s books, some young adult even, and is still writing. I think she has been writing for around 30 years?

B | best sequel ever:

I have to go with A Court Of Mist And Fury here. I don’t think that needs any further ado?

C | currently reading:

Shadowblack by Sebastien de Castell, although I haven’t properly started yet. I just hit the “currently reading” button on Goodreads. Also, The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa and I’m still rereading A Court Of Wings And Ruin. Rereads are not getting any priority, so that’s why they take me so long.

D | drink of choice while reading:

Actually I don’t drink while reading because I’m reading ebooks and audiobooks so there might be a chance I spill drinks on my devices.

E | e-reader or physical book:

Ereader. Duh.

F | fiction character you would’ve dated in high school:

Uhhhhh I don’t know.

G | glad you gave this book a chance:

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I didn’t like it at first, but I recently reread it and now I’m all down for The Wicked King.

H | hidden gem book:

The Kids Of Appetite by David Arnold. It’s SO good!

I | important moment in your reading life:

I finally was close to finishing uni and got out of my 6 year reading slump. I guess.

J | just finished:

Jinxed by Amy Mcculloch.

K | kind of books you won’t read:

Definitely graphic novels, poetry, erotica and preferably no non-fiction. I sometimes try non-fiction, but nope, every single time nope.

L | longest book you’ve read:

Hahahaha probably Kingdom Of Ash!

M | major book hangover because of:

A Court Of Wings And Ruin because I had to say goodbye to the inner circle. But I immediately started a new book to cure this hangover.

N | number of bookcases you own:

Zero. It’s all on the iPad or phone.

O | one book you’ve read multiple times:

The entire The Lunar Chronicles series. Yes, these are 4 books but oh well.

P | preffered place to read:

At home on the couch. However I can read in public transport as well as long as there are no annoying school kids around.

Q | quote that inspires you/gave you all the feels from a book:

I’m the worst with book quotes, so I can’t answer any here.

R | reading regret:

That’s a very recent release, Evermore by sara Holland. It’s literally NOTHING Everless was.

S | series you’ve started and need to finish (all books are out):

Shades Of Magic by V. E. Schwab. I only need to read A Conjuring Of Light.

T | three of your all time favourite books:

Absolutely not answering this question because this is real TORTURE.

U | unapologetic fangirl for:

Uhm, I don’t know?

V | very excited for this release:

King Of Scars by Leigh Bardugo.

W | worst bookish habits:

Buying too many books without critical thinking. I end up never even reading those, ouch. Furthermore, spoilering myself by skipping to the last chapter of the book whilst in the middle of the story.

X | x marks the spot! start at the top of your bookshelf and pick the 27th book:

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and HELL what a disappointment that book was. I really loved the other books in the Grisha verse and Six Of Crows was okay as well, but just not Crooked Kingdom. Nope.

Y | your latest book purchase:

Circe by Madeline Miller, The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin, White Rabbit by Caleb Roehrig, The Bear And The Nightingale by Katherine Arden, The Wicked King by Holly Black. Yes, all at once. But hey, those are all Kindle books, so not that expensive.

Z | zzz-snatcher book – last book that kept you up way too late:

I always quit reading on time because my body just can’t handle it and drifts me off to sleep.

Well, this was the bookish A-Z survey. I tag the following people:
