(EN) Bookending Autumn: The autumn book tag!

The leaves are slowly turning brown and falling off the trees. Many people in The Netherlands do have autumn break right now, so this is the perfect timing to do the Autumn Book Tag, originally created by Michelle as part of Bookending Autumn.

Rules:

  • Please link back to Michelle’s post (not her homepage, but the address of the blogpost)
  • Answer the following questions.
  • Tag a bunch of people to do this tag!

Sweater Weather – a comfy read

For me that was one of my latest reads. The story is not super comfy, but we get to see all our familiar characters back in The burning shadow by Jennifer Armentrout.

Autumn Colours – a book with a red/orange/yellow cover

I am going to steal Red, white & royal blue by Casey McQuiston from Michelle.

Halloween Horror – a scary book

I still have to read it, but Miss Peregrine’s home for perculiar children by Ransom Riggs is supposed to be scary.

Monsters In The Night – favourite villain

Totally not saying why because of spoilers, but Cardan from The cruel prince by Holly Black.

Autumn Rain – book that made you cry

None, I’m not someone to cry when reading books.

Trick or Treat – cute contemporary

I’m not one for cute contemporaries, but I will pick The kiss quotient by Helen Hoang here. This book may have its flaws, but it’s the first one that came to mind. I’m a bigger fan of plot driven books and I tend to rate character driven books lower. I can’t get invested really in character driven books.

Pumpkin Spice Latte – most anticipated autumn book

There are 2 books for this question, both releasing in the first week of November: Girls of storm and shadow by Natasha Ngan and The queen of nothing by Holly Black.

I tag:

Kwante // Candyce & Isabelle // Susan // Esmée // Nicky

  1. Red White & Royal blue is technically red white and blue not orange lol but it’s such a good book that I think we can make an exception! Interesting that no books make you cry. What does?? Miss Peregrine isn’t scary, just eerie and weird. Lol

  2. Ah, you’re not a crier? Man.. how many books made me cry 😂😂😂 most of the time it’s not even that sad, I just,.. cry at everything 🙈 happy cry, sad cry.. you name it.

Ahh I should give the pecular children serie a try someday… I really liked the movie though! And well, the kiss quotient is still on my wanting to read 😅
