(EN) Bookending Summer: The Lemonade Stand Tag

Posted juli 16, 2019 by Laurie in Booktags, English, events / 3 Comments

I’m back from holidays, and therefore back blogging. What’s a better way to restart than with a little tag? Exactly, nothing. Today I’m picking an older Bookending Summer prompt, the Lemonade Stand tag, originally created by Jeimy @ A Novel Idea.

Sour – Name a Character that left a sour taste in your mouth.

Asa from Too Late by Colleen Hoover. In fact, he left me fuming and I can’t tell you why yet. But from the moment I “met” him, I was done already. Rated the book 4 stars though.

Semi – Name a scene that was bitter-sweet.

One particular scene in Kingdom Of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. I don’t want to spoiler so not saying more about this.

Sweet – Name a book ending that was too sweet for words.

The ending of Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi when they threw a party for a certain character. No spoilers again 😉

Slushie – Name a book that was completely refreshing.

Girls Of Paper And Fire by Natasha Ngan. A book taking place in a palace and NO romance trope we see so often in books with a palace as the setting. Trigger warnings: violence, rape, graphic animal death.

That’s it already! I tag everyone and anyone. If you would love to do this, go ahead! Don’t forget to link back to Jeimy.

You just made me want to continue the Throne of Glass series as well as start the Shatter Me series. So thank you for that motivation 😊

I still need to read Kingom of Ash and Defy Me, I really want to. This was a cute tag, I enjoyed reading your answers 🙂
