Today’s post is a little bit later than usual. Normally I write these posts on Tuesday night, but since I was home just before midnight, I couldn’t write it. Therefore I’m writing it now. Last week was a less productive reading week since 1) I had a big read to finish, 2) I had to DNF yet another book and 3) 13 Reasons Why is back. Still, I managed to read something and you can find out what by clicking on the continue reading button. Oh, and I’m trying something new in this post, please scroll down and vote!Last week
Last week I was reading Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick and I couldn’t get through it. Leonard was annoying the crap out of me and I disliked his attitude, his look on life and just everything. Maybe I will give it another try someday, but for now I had to DNF it.
The positive side of this DNF is that I finally could start Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I’m on like 35% now, so I expect that review to be up by the end of this week.
Finally I managed to finish a really big read, An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. The book did not really meet my expectations, but you can find more in my review.
As mentioned in the second paragraph, I’m obviously reading Restore Me. I love it and expect my review to be online by the end of the week.
Furthermore, I’m reading the Dutch book Brainwash, by my favorite Dutch author Carry Slee. She writes books for children, middle-grade, YA and adults and I really read all her books. I started discovering her books when i was a small child and was starting to learn reading. However, I’m not sure whether I will like this book. The ratings on Goodreads are not quite good, so I have to read and see I guess.
In any case, an adult book will be on the list for next week. It’s a Dutch book about the Second World War and it’s called Joodse Buren by Maria Boonzaaijer. This book has been on my list for a good while.
And here lovely readers, we came to the point where I really need your help. What else should I read? I have a poll up for you, please help me out and vote!
