This may sound strange, but all the measures regarding the corona virus inspired me to write a blog post. In nearly all countries governments took measures which causes people to be mostly stuck at home for a few weeks. People need to work at home as much as possible, events are cancelled, schools are closed and so on. This means that first, you have more time to read. In fact, you don’t have your commute to work or school. Second, all the news is bringing a negative vibe and makes people anxious. Therefore, it’s important to be able to take your mind of things for a while and be able to forget about it all. These five books are likely to help you with all this as you are able to loose yourself completely in these stories.

The Mitford Mureders by Jessica Fellowes

Murder mysteries are the perfect books in such a situation as you really would love to solve this mystery. Who is the murderer? So many suspects, but you have no clue who actually done it. The Mitford Murders is a book series that will take you back to early 20th century England and that totally took me by surprise, I never expected it to be this good and for me to like it this much. I read this within one weekend and I guessed it all wrong.

The Institute by Stephen King

There is nothing wrong with a good Stephen King book that makes you get to the edge of your seat because it’s so scary and mysterious. I still need to read a book by this author, but the synopsis of The Institute gives me a feeling you will completely forget everything.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Okay okay, the ultimate YA guilty pleasure, but we all need a super cringy love story now right? I mean, it wasn’t cringy back in the 2000’s, but now it kind of is. Despite all its cringiness, it’s the perfect fit for forgetting everything.

Prince charming and Her royal highness by Rachel Hawkins

Palace drama? Here we go! These two books are companion novels and they are super light and easy to read. They are YA comedies that will make you forget everything around you.

The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley

Six sisters who allhave been adopted by a really rich man. After their adoptive father died, all sisters are left with a clue and coordinates of their roots and then the story begins. All of the sisters are willing to find their origins and therfore travel all around the world. In this series, past and present will mix and guarantees that you will binge read these big books.

Which books make you forget everything?
