Since the beginning of this month, it’s Bookending Summer time. I planned to do some more prompts, but work and blogging is not the greatest combination at the moment and I strugle a lot with writing blogposts. So, Isabelle‘s prompt is my first one of this event! But don’t worry, I have some booktags to catch up on and I will be hosting from July 29-31 myself.
Today’s prompts is a down and acrostic. I will pick a summer thmed word and I will write a book fitting each letter of the word. Furthermore, all books are fitting a theme and I will pick the theme general fiction. I will focus on new adult and adult for this prompt, because there has been so much young adult on my blog already.
The word I pick is: beachvolleyball. Every year there’s a tournament in my town. So, let’s go!
B: Bossman by Vi Keeland. This is still on my TBR.
E: Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey by Ed Sheeran. I read this book in summer 2017.
A: All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover. This book deals with a heavy theme, so you need to be ready for that. There are potential triggers in this book.
C: Circe by Madeline Miller. Someone kick my ass to read this book soon? It has been on my TBR for more than a year now.
H: [the] Hating Game by Sally Thorne. This book has been recently released in Dutch, just in time for summer.
V: Vengeful by V. E. Schwab. I read Vicious but that book just didn’t get me so I will try this one on audio.
O: I have lots of books starting with an ‘O’, but they have a different title in English. This book is originally Dutch and is non-fiction, about an actually autistic young man. It’s Om Wie Je Bent by Aaltje van Zweden.
L: [the] Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. I still need to read this book.
L: Last To Die by Tess Gerritsen. I have read this book years and years ago.
E: Empire Of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. It has been marketed as adult fiction here in the Netherlands, so it counts for this prompt.
Y: No, no books for me here.
B: Beyond What Is Given by Rebecca Yarros. This is the 3rd book in the Flight & Glory series and I’m on book 2 now.
A: All Lined Up by Cora Carmack. Still on the TBR.
L: [the] Last Days Of Rabbit Hayes by Anna McPartlin. I have read this book several years ago.
L: Little Fires Eveywhere by Celeste Ng. This book was quite okay, not really my thing.
What word and books would you choose?
